Services
School counselors spend at least 80% of their time engaged in indirect and direct services that benefit students.The school counseling department at Fuquay-Varina Middle School offers a variety of indirect and direct services. School counselors collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, administrators, school staff and community stakeholders through indirect services. The school counselors engage in direct services by working with students on an individual basis, in small groups, and through classroom guidance lessons.

A student may come to see his or her school counselor during the student's elective or PE class after getting a pass from his or her teacher.
